A professional cleaner has shared the top five interior designs she would refuse to have in her house in order to avoid spending hours cleaning. The cleaning guru has urged homeowners to refrain from buying these five home decors, which she branded 'the devil's work', including matte black kitchen cabinets and one common bedroom item.
In a candid post, the self-employed cleaning guru and owner of JM Cleaning Services took to social media to reveal the five things she would "never have" in her own house. She advised against matte black kitchen cupboards, which she claims are impossible to keep free from fingerprints and grease, even with copious amounts of washing-up liquid.

She warned: "White ones are okay, light coloured ones are okay, but get yourself a dark matte kitchen, you are asking for hell - you are literally gonna be tearing your hair out every chance that you get."
But it's not just kitchen cupboards on the cleaner's blacklist; waterfall taps, especially black ones in bathrooms, are also a no-go, The Sun reports.
Describing waterfall taps as a nightmare, she asserted that they're a breeding ground for limescale, making them incredibly difficult to clean.
In a moment of frustration, she exclaimed: "This is a two in one because the waterfall black bathroom tap - that is just hell, that is hell itself, created by Satan."
She then shifted her frustration to mirrored furniture, stating: "You dust it, you turn around, the dust has come back and brought 1,000 of its little mates with him - you dust it again and they've tripled in size."
Moving on to the topic of bathroom tiles, she explained that while large tiles are "easy to clean", slate tiles can be a real headache.

She acknowledged that slate tiles can "look aesthetically pleasing", but warned homeowners to "not fall for the trap".
The TikTok star went on to explain: "You gotta get in all those nooks and crannies, you can only use a set amount of products on there, you can't use anything abrasive, the limescale is horrendous."
The cleaning guru also vented her frustration about blinds.

She labelled them "the devil's work" as she exclaimed: "Honestly, find me a cleaner that likes cleaning blinds, I'll happily send him or her my pay check because I can guarantee you, any cleaner that walks into a house with blinds, that's it, they are walking back out, we are cursing under our breath."

The video, uploaded by @jmcleaningservices_, has gone viral, racking up 82,100 views and 1,209 likes at the time of reporting.
Social media users were excited to have their say and rushed to the comment section to express their agreement with the cleaner's opinions.
One user commented: "100% agree on the matte kitchen cupboards!".
Another agreed enthusiastically, posting: "I agree with you on all five points!".
A third shared their relief: "Thankfully I have none of those things and will ensure I never have those things. Thank you!"
Meanwhile, the conversation quickly turned as others jumped in to spill on the home decor that's a nightmare to maintain.
